Yesterday's enemies, today's allies, the Taliban factor
Big brothers say "meeting is critical to expand war economy"
Perhaps corporations allow them to engineered adventure for next hundred year to make lavish profit - give it name of reconciliation with Taliban.
Reached on table after signing Geneva Accord 1988, Withdrawal of Soviet Forces from Afghanistan and aftermath of withdrawal was civil war in Afghanistan.
Millions of people killed in
Afghanistan, trillion of rupees were spent to wage war and millions of people displaced
to find safe places. This was happening till February 15, 1989.
Red army entered in Afghanistan
on December 24, 1979 and fought till February 15, 1989. Result of the fight was an
accord signed in Geneva call it “Geneva Accord 1988 withdrawal of Soviet
forces from Afghan”. The accord remained successful but pushed Afghanistan in an
unending civil war.
The civil war hijacked by
Al-Qaida and was spread behind afghan border. Neighboring countries like Pakistan
extended their moral and financial support to host world first largest
migration. The writ of Pakistani state was challenged in Federally
Administrative Tribal Area (FATA). Incidents of target killing, suicide attacks and
sectarian violence spread violent extremism in settle areas. Pakistan’s
spending on security increased rapidly. The large portion of budget of a low income state
was spent to protect state in any case rather to improve service delivery (Health, Education and Infrastructure).
It multiplied workload on law enforcement forces. As police department was not capable to counter terrorist attacks due to their capacity
issues; indeed, the department was not trained to handle terrorist attacks but to control crimes.
Ultimate, Pakistan was and is in chaos. As a result, economy collapsed, poverty
increased and mounted trust deficit on public offices.
After creating long lasting
narrative of insecurity and extremism, the former and current super powers support
by corporations invited Taliban to avail opportunity of table talk (the
only solution of warfare). Taliban meetings and their engagement with officials of Russia and United State of America (USA) are underway and Pakistan is playing
vital role to protect regional peace and prosperity.
State to state affairs are based
on mutual development and economic interests, it depends on applied
strategy and priorities-leading to war or inviting on dinning table but what was the
fault of people murdered during this time period? Who is responsible of
economic losses of low income countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan? I
believe no one! Responsibility is laying with Multinationals
People were trapped and were burnt
to access the deals of oils and other resources. The corporations in world are
design and engineered wars to expand their businesses and to access the free
market. For this, they have been using religion, nationalism, sects,
inequalities, media and even state departments and legislatures. They all are
their partners. Long lasting successful business adventures of US based
corporations is almost ended in Afghanistan and started in Yemen, Iraq, Libya,
Syria and now Iran is under threat. It will never end because businesses last.
On other hand, rising second
superpower of the world “China” with the support Russia has started new journey of prosperity –one
road project. Pakistan is one of the key strategic partners of China in China
Pakistan Economic Corridor because of changing regional political economy and priorities. Regional priorities and interest of Pakistan
depends on China and it is being consider one of the key factors of sustainable
development of Pakistan in near future. US government does not like current international
relation priorities of Pakistan and, to combat china and Pakistan growing relationship at international
level, US Government has been strengthening its political and economic
cooperation with India. As a result, US reduced financial support and foreign invest which increased economic deficit and Pakistan
had to have bailout plan. Pakistan supports China and Russia to bring peace in Afghanistan in any case, socio-economic development is in great interest of Pakistan and its only possible with reconciliation.
