Pedophilia-A Fashion Or A lust

2019 theme: Children shouldn’t work in fields, but on dreams!

World observes Day against Child Labor

Pedophilia: Sexual feelings directed towards children.

Children at work places can easily be abused, child labor exists in lower income countries where child focused policies and social work does not exist.

Sex with children is spreading and unveiling side by side. Word "Pedophilia" means "sexual feelings directed towards children". Children means children, doesn't matter male or female, isn't, yup it is so...

'Children shouldn’t work in fields, but on dreams. Yet today, 152 million children are still in child labour. Although child labour occurs in almost every sector, seven out of every ten is in agriculture.

In 2019, the International Labour Organization celebrates 100 years of advancing social justice and promoting decent work. The World Day Against Child Labour looks back on progress achieved over a 100 years of ILO support to countries on tackling child labour. Since its founding in 1919, the protection of children has been embedded in the ILO’s Constitution (Preamble). One of the first Conventions adopted by the ILO was on Minimum Age in Industry (No. 5, 1919).
On this World Day, we also look forward towards UN Sustainable Development Goal Target 8.7 set by the international community calling for an end to child labour in all its forms by 2025. In support of Alliance 8.7, we call for immediate action to address the remaining challenges so that the world community can get firmly on track towards eliminating child labour. A newly released ILO report points the way with policy approaches and responses.
2019 also marks 20 years since the adoption of the ILO's Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention, 1999 (No. 182). With only a few countries still to ratify, this Convention is close to universal ratification. On this World Day we call for full ratification and implementation of Convention No. 182 and of the ILO's Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138). We also encourage ratification of the Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labour Convention, which protects both adults and children".
In light above cited narrative, the state of Pakistan standings are not admirable indeed. Growing rate of child labor in Pakistan is due to weak policy implementation and poor performance of established departments. The policy implications are widening its implementation in true letter of spirit. Overall the last two decades, poverty increased and the trend has been forcing children under 18 years to earn instead of get education. The uprising trend of poverty supports the child labor which further children at high risk of abuse.
State needs to take appropriate steps to eliminate child labor- effective legislation, implementation of existing policies or to improve policies to fetch satisfactory results. Population control is another indicator has been contributing in child labor and their abuse. Large family sizes cannot combat with growing inflationary rates and devaluation of currency, hence, they have to send their children to carry out labor without checking working environment. Million of Pakistani children have been working in workshop, shopping malls, begging and with transport companies. The large number of children from rural areas have been trying to learn technical skills to secure their future. The above state laws and international convention agreed by our state as well demands the implementation of national and international commitments state has pledged. Ritualistic approaches to eliminate child labor have no mercy for children at risk but modern implementation strategies need to take on board.
I am inconvenienced that poverty could not be controlled. It can be controlled and state can bring peace in lives of citizen but it requires will and death of illicit practices, nepotism and favoritism. Lets do try to support state to take care of children.
